Exploring ramps and speed using loose parts

What moves faster down the ramp? The big car or the small car?

Evie rolled a big car down then a small car so the boys could observe

We had lots of fun predicting, experimenting, observing and concluding.

Julian and Kai concluded that the small cars moved faster because the big cars are heavier.

Jonah predicted that if we made the ramp higher all the cars would move faster.

Rían concluded that the airplane wouldn’t fit down the ramp because its wings were too wide.
