October 18 2024 – Leaf Identification

Children will work in mixed ability groups to gather leaves from the sensory garden and school grounds. The leaves will then be sorted by shape to group similar leaves together. Children will try to identify what type of leaf each is from prior knowledge and record this on clipboards. Adults will prompt if required. Pictures taken of each leaf type to be identified using chart and/or further research if necessary.
