Groups of pupils were provided with plastic pots in order to gather materials and make a bug hotel to encourage wildlife in the growing season ahead. These were left in place for the rest of the year. Next year I shall change the plastic pots to a more sustainable alternative – small cardboard boxes with bambo structure inside.
