Children had the opportunity to talk about our safety rules around the fire. Over the past few months a group of 8 children at a time get the opportunity and experience to develop their understanding of keeping safe around fire and making their yummy treat. During this session children develop their numeracy by counting to 10 before the eat their treat. All children work together with their peers when they counting. Children are developing their understanding the ensure their own safety around the fire eg sitting outside the square boundary, holding the red handle on the toasting fork and not touching the top.
