January 2024 – Cat and Mouse

Nominate or ask one of the children to volunteer to be the mouse and attach the tail to their clothes.
Nominate or ask one of the children to volunteer to be the cat and give them the cat ears to wear.
Ask the mouse to run away from the group into a space that has been allocated for the game.
Get the group to count to 15 then release the cat to catch the mouse.
The mouse is caught when its tail is pulled off.
Let the children take turns in both roles.

Put a time limit on how long the cat has to catch the mouse.
Have more than one cat to catch the mice to make it easier.
