This week in Forest Schools we were focusing on World Around Us topics, maths and art. We learned how tall the trees were in each layer of the rainforest and each group got assigned a layer. We worked in groups and used measuring equipment to mark out the length of the trees and then we used chalk to draw a 2D tree on the ground. We then scavenged in the gardens to find natural materials such as leaves and twigs that we could put on our tree to make it come to life. We then thought about our homework task and the animal fact file task we did in class and drew animals that live in that layer of the rainforest.
