6th March 2026 – NI Tourist Attractions
As part of P6/7’s topic of ‘Wonderful, Marvellous Me’, they have been learning about the geography of Northern Ireland. After discussion about what tourist attractions there are in NI, children were set the challenge of creating one of the attractions named. Along with using the natural resources within the forest, groups were also given string, scissors and a saw. This was the first time children were given saws to use. The expectations of how to use a saw carefully were clearly established and children utilised them well. All children thoroughly enjoyed this activity, with all giving it a thumbs up!
