Autumn Senses Walk –

– Children recapped each of the five senses at the gathering circle before the walk began
– Children went for a walk around the school grounds/forest school to find things that linked to each of the five senses in Autumn
– Walk was paused at various points so that children could share findings and reflect

Lesson continued inside the next day:
– Children’s findings displayed on a categorising thinking frame
– Ideas were used, alongside a word bank, for children to complete a written senses poem
