30th January 2026 – Make a Skeleton

Within World Around Us, our topic has been focussing on ‘Wonderful, Marvellous Me’, including learning the bones of the skeletal system. Children then used materials from the forest area to create their own skeleton. In the discussion that followed, children named parts of the skeleton and stated the favourite material they had used as a certain part of the skeleton. Although children got to select who they would like to work with, in the evaluation at the end some children expressed that they would like to work in larger groups, as this activity was completed in groups of three or with different people.
