Linking to World Around Us recycling lessons and Literacy poem ‘Bottlebank’ where we discussed personification.

This was a very wet day so our time outside was limited and the ground very muddy. The children played a game in the playground where I called out an item of rubbish and the children had to run to a picture of the correct bin for recycling. We then reread the poem ‘Bottlebank’ and talked about how the author used words to make the bottlebank seem like a monster that eats the bottles. The children formed groups and used resources around the area to make a group bottlebank.
