We had an amazing time today with the classes from Aughadarra PS.
We had a look at our collection of nests. This led to us asking them to build their own nests using only natural materials found on the ground.
The children showed great imagination and team work completing the task.
The next activity was Pond Dipping. We led the children through the woods and along the stream to our next location.
They were shown how to use the nets to catch the creatures within the stream.
When the creatures had been caught they were taken to the tables to be examined under the magnifying glasses.
