27/02/26 – What Knot (P6)

P6 explored Knots today and their uses. They learnt a variety of knots with the most popular being the clove hitch knot. They began by gathering suitable materials to make a Viking sword. Then using their knot knowledge and some resource cards they connected their stick to make a handle and a ‘blade’. We discussed leave no trace (as we had attached ropes to the sticks) and gathered our materials to ensure nothing was left behind.
