We welcomed the children to Dungannon Park for their Forest School Session.
After our introduction we headed off into the woods.
The children were shown our Collection of Bird’s Nests. We discussed how, when and where the birds make their nests.
They were then tasked with making their own nests using material found in the forest as the birds would.
They were given the opportunity to tell us about their nests. How they were made and the material used.
The second half of of the session was looking at the pond life that was found in the lake. The children could catch the creatures and look at them individually in the pots provided. They were able to compare them to our pond life charts.
