Children had the opportunity to further develop and enhance their counting skills and number recognition during our Forest School session. We used laminated numbers which the children had to identify first and place in order. We then broke off into our key groups and the children chose whether to work in small groups, pairs or individually to find natural materials equivalent to their number.

Once finished we then headed over to our smaller forest school site where the children had the opportunity to further develop their knowledge around fire safety and toast some marshmallows.
