20th March 2026 Transport systems

Our topic is Travel and Transport
We discuss the meaning of the word ‘transport’ and also how animals move. The children played a game moving like different animals. We dicussed why animals may move like that.
The children split into 2 groups. One group used the wheelbarrows to move logs over to the grassy section and used tree stumps, planks and pipes to make a transport system in smaller groups or pairs.
The other group used the mud kitchen, bug area and reading hut. The groups then swapped.
