Today within the KS1 & KS2 Afterschool Forest school club we had the opportunity to create our initials using various lengths of sticks and working on binding these together using string so they may be hung on trees. The children loved trying to be creative with how they could create their letters in a secure way so as to avoid them breaking apart. This was an idea that was in preparation for Christmas decorations (soon to come). The children also had the opportunity to have a go at den building and also were thoroughly engaged with the various mud kitchens there too. Lastly the group took an interest in using nature boards to collect a variety of interesting finds during their session.
