13 May 2026 small fire

This week the children have been asking to make a camp fires. So we’re introduced to what was needed for a fire. Then we played a game of ‘fire or not?’, where I called out some thing like dry leaves, wet leaves and so on and the children had to say whether it would help a fire or not.

Then we went onto to setting up the small fire. The children all had a turn on using the striker. Once we got the fire lit. The children really enjoyed toasting their marshmallow and making a s’more. The children then went onto to play hide and seek.
