Primary 1 ART – ANDY GOLDSWORTHY
We read the story “The Leaf Thief” and discussed the signs of Autumn and the colour changes etc.
We looked at examples of Andy Goldsworthy’s work on IWB and discussed how he creates art using natural materials that he finds. The children then went out around the grounds in groups and collected natural materials eg twigs, leaves, pebbles etc.
When we returned to the classroom each group created their own pieces using the natural materials that they collected.
As a follow up the children can continue during playtime to create their own pictures using the natural materials.
