10/2/26 – Stick Houses

Today, P1 took their learning about different types of houses outdoors during their Forest School session. They began by gathering sticks and looking carefully at picture cards showing a variety of houses.

Working in groups, the children chose a house picture to recreate. They carefully counted the sticks and positioned them to match the shapes and features shown in the picture, developing their observation, counting and teamwork skills.

To finish, the children left their creations for the next group to explore. The challenge was to see whether they could correctly identify which type of house had been built by matching it to the picture cards.
