As part of our Extreme Earth topic the children were learning about volcanoes. In Big Bear Wood the children had to use trowels to dig a hole to place their bottle. Next they had to build up the sides of their volcano using grass and soil. Next then used materials to make their volcano explode. They really enjoyed this hands on task.
