PDMU Lesson: As a whole class we read a story about making new friends. We decided to create our own friends using natural materials outside. We talked about the features on a face and body parts. We collected leaves, fallen branches, twigs, berries and stones. Each pupil had the opportunity to talk about their new friend with their peers and some children decided to give their new friend a name. We all really enjoyed walking around and looking at each character. Some children were sad to say goodbye to what they had made.
