4 December 2024 Christmas activities

The children had a magical time making their own reindeer food using porridge oats and a sprinkle of glitter. They carefully scooped the ingredients into paper bags and decorated them with festive stickers, ready to leave out for Santa’s reindeer on Christmas Eve. They also created beautiful Christingles using oranges, cloves, and ribbons. We explored the lovely scents of the cloves and talked about how they smelled, then the children designed their own patterns by pressing the cloves into the oranges. These Christingles were used to decorate our Forest School site before the children took them home to add some festive cheer to their houses.
