We discussed animals which hibernate and why. The boundary flags had pictures of a hedgehog, a dormouse a frog and a bat. We talked about each and where they might hibernate. The children formed groups and were given the task of creating a safe place for one of these animals to hibernate. We then visited each one and the children told us about each one.
