24/09/25 – Autumn Walk and Painting

This week, we went on an autumn walk. We talked about different signs of autumn and the colours we could see. We collected lots of different coloured natural materials and brought them back to our classroom.
We then read the story ‘The Magic Paintbrush’ and linked our outdoor learning to this story by making our own natural paint!! But before we could use the paint, we had to make our own paintbrushes! We loved painting and discussing what we would paint if our pictures could come to life, just like the story!! We had lots of fun doing these activities… although they do look like varying shades of brown now that they have dried 🙈 at least we had fun 😂!
