24/02/26 – Forest Shapes

P6 headed to the park for a 2D shape revision session. They first compared the park to when they visited in Summer/Autumn and discussed the changes they noticed had occurred. Lots of great discussion about this. They also predicated what changes they thought might begin to happen soon. We used rope to create different shapes. Pupils were encouraged to work as teams and progressed to the group having eyes closed with one leader. On the walk back we discussed natural shapes and looked at things like tree stumps and a variety of leaves.
