23 January 2026 – Length

Children were encouraged to use appropriate language to compare two objects for length. The class as a group looked at the trees and decided which were tall or short. They agreed on the tallest and on the shortest. In groups the class found as many twigs and branches as they could. They then looked at which was short and which were long. They decided on shortest and tallest. They discussed their findings and they decided which group had the longest stick.
