Today we were visited by a class of P1’s.
We started of with a chat about the trees then brought out our collection of bird’s nests. They were given the opportunity to pick up and inspect the nests.
We discussed how the birds nests were made and the materials used.
The class was then tasked with making their own individual nests. On completion they were asked to describe how they made their nest and what bird / animal would live in it.
As a class they then made an enormous nest. Big enough for the whole class to get in.
