The boys and girls were very excited to invite P3/4 to join us for Forest School today. We began by gathering together outside and our regular boys and girls enjoyed explaining boundary flags and whistle blows to P3/4. They taught their friends our Forest School song and then we all walked to our site. Mrs McClure had set up a fire today, and we sat on our log circle to sing some campfire songs and listened carefully to the ‘dragon’ safety rules for fires.
Every child had the opportunity to toast an apple slice dipped in cinnamon and most really enjoyed the taste of the seasonal treat!
The children also enjoyed some free play at the end of the session. We ensured that all was left safe and that we left no trace before the session ended.
