11/3/26 – Woodland Sounds

Children began this session by going over the Forest School rules and listening to the woodland sounds on the way to the park. Then children split off to gather resources that could be used to make a wind chime – feathers, pebbles, leaves, twigs etc. They then needed to find a long straight stick to attach their materials too. We then headed back to the classroom to complete the session. Children used string to attach their materials to the stick adding 2 or 3 items to one string. The photos attached are of the children working on this after collecting their materials. We discussed which items made the best sound and why and took our chimes outside to test them out.
