10/11/25 – Stick Man

Today, P1 enjoyed a Forest School session based on the story Stick Man. The children began by listening to the story and talking about Stick Man’s adventures and the different natural places he visited.

The children then explored the outdoor area to find their own special sticks. Using leaves, twigs, grass and other natural materials, they transformed their sticks into their very own Stick Man characters and enjoyed using their imaginations to bring them to life.

To finish the session, the children gathered together to share their creations and talk about the materials they had used. They enjoyed comparing their Stick Men and reflecting on their outdoor adventure. We also played ‘Stick Race’ down the rover dropping out chosen sticks in to the river and looking to see which crossed the finish line first.
