Our P1 children enjoyed their first Forest School session, beginning with an introduction to learning outdoors and exploring the natural world around them.

The children used their senses to look for the signs of autumn, thinking about what autumn looks like, sounds like and feels like. They listened carefully to the sounds around them, closed their eyes to focus on what they could hear and described how the autumn environment made them feel.

The children then went on an autumn hunt, collecting leaves, twigs and conkers, before working together to create a beautiful autumnal wreath on the tuff tray. It was a lovely first session full of curiosity, creativity and hands-on outdoor learning.
